How to Paint

Master Synthetic Matt & Glossy Enamels

This is a high quality oil-borne synthetic enamel that is known for its long lasting finish and durability.
 

Surface Preparation:

- The surface must be clean, dry and free of efflorescent salts;

- Prime the surface with Master Primer;

- Coat the surface with chalk and lithopone in a ratio of four to one respectively and an appropriate amount of Master Primer; and

- Let the filler  stay to dry overnight.

 

For Printed Surface:

- Clean surface thoroughly and remove poorly adhering materials by rubbing using a sand paper;

- Spot prime and coat the surface as mentioned above and allow drying for at least 16 hours;

- After surface preparation, apply 2-3 coats of Master Synthetic Enamel.

 

Finishing:

Firstly, stir and mix the paint. Add water slowly while stirring all the time. Avoid entrapping of air and foaming. Add up to 3 liter of water to 4 liter of emulsion and apply two to three coats. Apply the mixture by brush or roller. When using brush, apply a full even coat and don’t brush out too far. When applying by roller, stir the paint constantly before pouring into the roller tray. Clean equipment immediately after use with detergent solution or soap and water.

Safety Environment:

Always keep container air-tight closed. It must be out of reach of children. Use of mask is advisable while rubbing down and same is a must when applying by spray. Never breathe vapor or spray. The use of proper respiratory equipment is advisable. All breathing equipment must strictly adhere to approved standards. Eye protection must be worn while applying paint. In case of contact with eyes, rinse with water and immediately approach a doctor. To remove splashes from skin, apply any skin cleaner or a solution of water and soap. Take enough care while transporting paint from one paint storage to another. Please do not empty into drains or watercourses. Appropriate environmental quality should be observed while disposing of any paint waste.

Master Synthetic Under Coats

Master synthetic under coat is well-formulated wall sealer based on oil.
 

Surface Preparation for New surface:

Rub down the surface with a stiff brush or rubbing stone to remove any loose material. Check that the surface has thoroughly dried up and free from efflorescence.

For Old Surfaces:

For previously painted surfaces especially whitewashed surface, scrape down to the bare surface and wash with spray water to ensure freedom from grease and oil.

Sealing:

Apply one coat of Master Under Coat after 10% thinning with mineral turpentine or white spirit. Allow drying over night. Due to varying surface absorption, it can be further thinned with good quality mineral turpentine or white spirit. Any minor interior fillings should be carried out at this stage. A high quality putty to fill the walls can be made by mixing good quality chalk and lithopone powder with master under coat. Allow drying the mixture overnight. The surface is ready for finishing with Master Special Plastic Emulsion.

Master Super Synthetic Clear Varnish

Wax or Greasy surfaces do not dry easily. You are advised to clean floors and furniture with pure turpentine or benzene before applying Master Synthetic Resin Solution. Allow the surface to dry for one or two days between coats. Use a new varnish brush, thin with turpentine when necessary and remember to apply two coats. Do not use shellac or liquid filter on new wood or old surface for first coat.

Master Filler Knifing

Master Filler Knifing is high quality oil base multipurpose compound and can be used for filling any kind of uneven surface such as cracks, also balancing the irregular surface of iron. Its drying time is 24 hours and flash point is 50 C. It is available in grey color and can be used through light patri.

Surface Preparation for New surface:

New or bare surfaces must be clean, dry, free from dirt, greases, wax etc. Prime with an appropriate Master Primer and then apply coat of Master Matt Enamel.

Previously Painted Surface (Old Surface):

Surfaces must be clean, dry, free from all defective or poorly adhering material, dirt, grease, wax etc. All surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and dusted off. Fill all surfaces’ defects, cracks with suitable filler. When dry rub down smooth and dust off. After surface preparation, apply Master Undercoat and then apply 2-3 coats of Master Matt Enamel. Stir thoroughly before use of Matt, for this purpose stick of wood must be used as a stirring catalyst.

Drying time: Its drying time is 1-2 hours between two coats
